Hi, I am a student at Brunel University, West London. I am studying Multimedia Technology and Design BSc, this is a three year thick sandwich course with a year in industry. I have just finished my second year and have already started my placement year. I have been designing and creating websites for many years now. My interest in multimedia work grew when I did some work experience for a small multimedia company in Glaston (Rutland) called Multimedia Textbooks(MMT).

I mainly work using Windows machines, however this is mainly down to availability. I can work well on both PC and Mac based systems and can work using many software versions on both OS. I use the Adobe / Macromedia Suites the most for all my design and development work. I do tend to code by hand in notepad or a coloured editor. I am a keen team player and am able to lead / project manage if needed.

My main interests are based around the web and interactivity. This involves web design, illustration, animation (both 2D and 3D). Moving away from course-based interests, I am a passionate pro diver, having reached Dive Master level in the PADI system I am one step away from becoming an Instructor. As part of my diving, I have a Emergency First Response(EFR) Qualification in First Aid and Secondary Care. I am looking to do the instructor course for this at some point.

I enjoy the leadership that a dive master role requires and the responsibility it brings. Looking after a whole dive party requires more than a clear head and the training. You must be able to read the dive conditions both before and during the dive. As well as that, you must be able to establish the level of the party and not to endanger anyone by diving anywhere where they feel unsafe.

I used to shoot, however, due to other commitments and costs, this has slipped away. When I used to shoot for Uppingham School I was one of the better shots. On a .22 small bore rifle at 25 yards I averaged 97/100. With a 5.56 army cadet rifle at 25 yards my grouping on a 10 shot rapid fire was 1 inch and with the 7.62 cadet target rifle in 2005 I came joint 14th out of 577 cadets shooting at 600 yards without a scope. I have gone skydiving and would love to go again when I can afford it - there is a video of this which can provide some light entertainment.

While I was shooting at Uppingham I was a cadet in the RAF and managed to climb the ranks to become Warrant Officer(WO1) which was the second highest rank I could have achieved, I also flew an RAF Grob Tutor plane on many occasions. As part of this experience I was able to lead squads and on occasions the whole contingent comprising all of the forces.
